Corporate Social Responsibility

Good corporate citizenship is integral to the way PER operates. Environment, social, health and safety responsibilities are a priority for PER in all aspects of 
its business. PER’s corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) policy has been designed to promote social development projects that facilitate sustainable development and focus on community involvement. PER adheres to the Equator Principles and to the Zimbabwe legislative requirements.

 

Environmental Social Impact Assessments

PER has completed an Environmental Social Impact Assessment (“ESIA”) on the project which was compiled to meet the Zimbabwean legislation and international best practice requirements.
Arup conducted the Projects ESIA.
Approval of the ESIA was received during H2 2015.

Resettlement Action Plan for the PER Lusulu Project

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]As part of the ESIA, an extensive resettlement assessment will be undertaken that includes the following:

• Specialist studies as part of the ESIA
• Workshops to be held with affected Stakeholders from each area
• An internal resettlement planning project

The expected outcomes of the assessment will be:

• A comprehensive Resettlement Policy Framework
• A resettlement plan with full costings to resettle potentially affected families/communities.
